WBPSC WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2022: Important Information

WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2022 has been detailed in the official recruitment notification. The candidates must be well-versed with the eligibility criteria before they start their application process. If at any stage it is found that the candidates do not meet the eligibility criteria, then their candidature will be cancelled right away.

Age Limit	As per the official recruitment notification, the candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 39 for different posts. Upper age concessions of 5 years will be provided to the SC and ST candidates of West Bengal Upper age concessions of 3 years are provided to the OBC candidates of West Bengal. Upper age concession till the age of 45 is provided to the PwD candidates.
Educational Qualification	The candidate must have a degree from a recognized University. The candidate must know how to read, write, and speak in Bengali.
Nationality	Candidates must be citizens of India and have the required documents to prove their nationality. Candidates can also be permanent and recognized residents of India. They must be able to prove their permanent residence in the country with the required government-issued documents.
Number of vacancies	The number of vacancies for this post has not been issued yet. The total number of vacancies for the post will be revealed in due time.

WBPSC WBCS Eligibility Criteria 2022- Age Limit

• For the vacancies under Group D, the lower age limit is 21 years while the upper age limit is 39 years.
• For the West Bengal Police Vacancies, the lower age limit is 20 years while the upper age limit is 36 years.
• For all other vacancies, the candidate must be above the age of 21 years and below the age of 36 years.
• Candidates whose age is between 20 years and 21 years as on 1st January of the year of examination can apply only for Group B posts.
• Upper age concessions are provided to candidates belonging to certain categories.

• The candidates who are not Indian citizens but hold permanent citizenship to the country can also apply for the post after providing the required, government-approved documentation.
