Brush up Your Basics :

 Engage in Regular Reading Activities:

Cultivate reading habits . Whether it's newspaper , your books or novels you should develop a habit of reading daily because this will help you develop the ability to understand what you read . Also try practising  comprehension sections   previous year papers.

Solve  previous years’ papers and check how efficiently you're managing your time. This will  give you a fair  idea about the type of questions  asked in the exam along with  the difficulty level.  Focus on Improving your vocabulary:

Candidates should focus on improving their vocabulary as it will help them in fetching marks in  topics like antonyms and synonyms etc. To improve vocabulary, candidates should read the newspaper on a daily basis and makes notes of the words that they do not know the meaning of. Candidates should note down the meaning of those words, their synonyms, antonyms etc and keep revising them.

 Maintain Consistency: 

Hardwork & Consistency  is the key to  when it comes to preparing  for English for CLAT . If  a  candidate is  well prepared he/she  can score easily in English as compared to other Sections in relatively less period of  time.  You should focus on reading newspapers and magazines to improve your reading habits. Focus on  learning at least 10 new English words  daily.

Keep Notes : 

 Keep notes of all that you learn throughout preparation period .This will come handy later when  you will be revising and having notes at your perusal will help make everything easier . Take notes of words that you do not understand / came across for the first time .
  • While reading the comprehensive  passages  look out  for the keywords used in  the questions in the passage. This will help save time and also help you with finding answers easily .
